Why Don't I Love The Ascent, Even Though I Want To?
22The Ascent is a game I was really excited about and from the outside it seemed like a game I would love. However my actual experience with the game left me feeling a little empty.
What I found weird was, when I tried to identify why I didn't like this game I couldn't really specify any real significant problems. So I wanted to make this video to try and delve deeper into the details and properly unturn why I like this game, but am not totally into it as much as I want to be.
There are a lot of things I could talk about, but there's a thread which I thought was unqiue and I wanted to unpack. This being the fact that while the game has a lot of individually great components, those components didn't mesh and collectively made the game worse.
