Is Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC? Almost certainly! Here are the reasons why.

While there's been no official word about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, it's hard to see how Square Enix could afford not to release it on other platforms as well as on the PS4.

Given that FF7 Remake's development doesn't seem to have run all that smoothly, it's likely that Square Enix needs to recoup some serious cash to cover the cost of producing such a hefty game.

This video takes a look at signs that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will also be released on Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Let’s start with Square Enix's financial predictions, which offer an outline of how the company expects to perform in the near future.

Square Enix's recent financial forecast shows that the developer is targeting huge sales of between 300 to 400 billion yen for the fiscal year 2021.

This is alongside an operating income of between 40 to 50 billion yen, from its Digital Entertainment segment – the part of the business dedicated to major titles.

While it's true that Square Enix has big projects in the works, such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Marvel's Avengers, it's hard to see how the company could sell enough games to meet its sales target if those titles were platform-exclusive.

By my rough calculations, 300 to 400 billion yen works out at about 2.7 to 3.6 billion dollars. That's a heck of a lot of units to shift.

Until an announcement is made we won't know for sure when or if Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released on Xbox One, Switch and PC, but I think we can be confident that it will be at some stage.
