Visual Description: A woman faces the camera. She has brown hair worn loose and wavy, and adorned with a Hello Kitty headband. She wears a white, Victorian-style nightgown. She holds DVD cases in her hands, in order to show which version of Snow White that she's referring to when she's talking. There's a curtain closed over a window in the background.

Description: I wanted to talk about why I personally prefer Snow White Kitty and the One Dwarf compared to Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

When I was a kid, the Hello Kitty Becomes a Princess version of fairytales were my favourite. Hello Kitty is presented as an active character in them. They also tend to be more kid-friendly, using concepts like "banishment" rather than death, which make them less scary for young audiences. I found Snow White Kitty to be much more likeable and relatable than the Disney version of the character, as the Hello Kitty version depicts a more modern version of womanhood where a woman is capable of being a royal advisor, and not just a queen, a damsel in distress, or a maid.

Note: I have used my best judgement, and decided to mark this video as "made for kids". YouTube lists content where: "Children are not the primary audience, but the video is still directed at children because it features actors, characters, activities, games, songs, stories, or other subject matter that reflect an intent to target children." as an example of content that "may be considered made for kids".
