As I begin a new journey into modern gaming, I am looking forward, not behind. Games like World of Warcraft's upcoming Worldsoul Saga or Dune: Awakening or Star Wars: The Old Republic with their modern quality of life features and cinematic storytelling excite me in a way that EverQuest simply cannot, despite the nostalgia I have for the IP that first got me into MMORPGs. A game needs to respect my time for me to want to include it in my rotation. We live in modern times, and games need to have modern features to excite me.
