If you're a fan of romance in any capacity, chances are you've encountered at least one love triangle. And that's usually all it takes make you despise them. Of all the romance tropes and romantic subplots that have unfolded throughout pop culture, few are more reviled or overdone than love triangles.

But why are they so awful?

Why are they so despised and mocked?

Do they HAVE to always be so terrible?

Being a long-time romance fan, I made this video to explore frustrating and toxic details of what makes love triangles suck. I also offer some ideas on how to make them suck less. This video was largely based on an article I wrote for my website, but I tried to expand on it here. Enjoy!
