I would like to present the advantages of integrating the Modbus Protocol into your do-it-yourself (DIY) home automation project. The harmonious combination of Arduino (or an alternative platform), an RS485 Shield, and the Modbus Protocol can establish a robust and reliable solution. It is worth noting that the TCP/IP version for Arduino may not be optimal, so it is advisable to avoid it if possible (I plan to conduct tests on this aspect in the near future).
