Why Most People Start YouTube Channels #therandomytmonkey
Fast and the Furious meets the Monkey. Why Most People Start YouTube Channels now days like it's a get rich quick scam? I'll take the cash and the respect, but to me the respect is much more important. It takes time and dedication to build up a community around your content and brand. Real fans don't just pop up out the blue and they don't just disappear when you stop uploading for a while. They stick with you, and you have to give them a reason to keep coming back.
Made this messing around today. Thought now's a good time to branch out a bit with the channel. ππ
This seemed like a good clip to use as a reflection of why I started my channel. Like most, sure, I'd love to get rich off of playing video games and making content, but don't expect to and it's not at all why I started my channel or the Monkey Nation movement.
I'm good at games, I've been playing since I was 3 way back in 1986 with the NES. I π sharing games I like to play with people and introducing them to games they might not have heard of yet. I've played in tons of competitions for all kinds of games. Never won any but I did come in 3rd in one playing Judge Dredd for the SNES at a blockbuster video rental store a long time ago. π
I'm into all kinds of stuff. Movies, comics, books, TV shows, video games (mobile especially) survival, working out, nature, zombies and just all entertainment in general. I also π the weird stuff the grosses people out and aliens and a good conspiracy theory. I'm all over the place and full of a million completely useless facts. π€£ I'm just as Random as the Monkey. π§
I also π passing on the knowledge I learn in games and learning new things about games from everyone else. I have always been a big fan of YouTube and lots of its creators.
I π helping out small creators when they need help and giving advice ππ and tips where I can as well as giving ππ― shoutouts to people I think really deserve it for all the hard work they put into making videos and keeping up with their channels.
I know how hard it is starting a new channel. π I have tried running a discord in the past for helping small creators get their channels discovered, but in the end don't think I'm the one to run something like that. It's too hard for me to trust people π· in that area. I've been burned before. π€
I have kept my channel fairly anonymous π₯Έ up to this point using my channel logo and mascot π as sort of the main feature/host of the channel for branding, but I do plan on introducing myself π and who I am βοΈ in to the channel over time, (slowly) as the channel gains more popularity π€with the viewers. I want to make those connections with the fans of Random Monkey because it's just me under the monkey mask. π I am the same as you, I π games, watching YouTube, helping people, entertaining the masses, raising my kid, responding to comments, making Facebook π© posts.
The more dedicatedπ₯³ I see people get to the Random YT Monkey brand the Monkey Nation the more it drives me to make it even better and create even more. One day I plan on even having Random YT Monkey Shirts and stickers and lots more π€π€£ and look forward to seeing all those badass people walking around repping the Monkey Nation! π
