We go hands-on with Frontier Developments’ follow-up to F1 Manager 2022, the imaginatively titled F1 Manager 2023, ahead of its release on the 31st of July.

Getting to grips with the new-for-2023 Race Replay mode, we aim to right the wrongs of Aston Martin’s strategy at the Monaco Grand Prix by bringing in Fernando Alonso for wet weather tyres at the crucial moment, overhauling Max Verstappen and enlivening the show for millions of worldwide viewers.

Well, that was the plan at least...

We then dive into the game’s revised career mode, checking out new features such as pit crew training schedules, better F2 and F3 championship simulation and the driver confidence mechanic, taking charge of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team over a full race weekend at Silverstone.
