Why Rise of the Beasts Doesn’t Have Any Decepticons. When it comes to any kind of Transformers media, you’re going to have a battle between 2 factions. You’re going to see the Autobots on 1 side and the Decepticons on the other side. Especially when it comes to films. But Rise of the Beasts decided to break that tradition. Instead of facing the Autobots off against the usual candidates. They were put up against the Terrorcons. Making this the first installment to not feature the Decepticons in any capacity. Which is ironic considering that Beast Wars which is 1 of the shows it adapts even featured Decepticons in the original series. But apparently, we were initially going to see Decepticons in ROTB. We would’ve seen a desperate Optimus Prime in search of a ship to get home. And he would fight and kill a Decepticon called Transit. And dump in the river where it’s revealed that multiple Decepticons bodies were dumped. Most of the visual effects for the scene were completed. But it was dropped because test audiences found it too dark.
