The Brilliant and Brutal Transformations of Orion in TF One. Transformers One would have to be one of the biggest love letters to the fans. Its jam packed with so many references that viewers will spot every time they watch it. And the character of Orion Pax was a walking reference. Before he achieved greatness as Optimus Prime we would get teases to it. Where Elita would call him a blind optimist. The movie pays homage to him being a reference clerk. Where he sneaks into the data archives to get information about the Matrix of Leadership. The film even goes out of its way to reference the Bayverse such as Optimus Prime ending the movie off with an epic narration. It was all very clever. But some of the most brilliant references would have to be the transformation sequences. For example, when Orion is being interrogated by the guards and insulted for not having a transformation cog. He jokingly moves his limbs in a way that evokes his original toy's transformation. And during a fight with a vehicon he would wrap his legs around it and transform. Causing it to explode.
