Why Siege is at a Standstill

I can't figure out how to implement character / class selection. The closest I've gotten is being able to see every player who joins after you but none of the players who joined before you. Combat worked completely in that version, whether or not you could see the enemy's model. The version you see here is not this version, but a worse version.
