Why Some Fans Feel Cheated By Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath
14,877Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is an upcoming expansion for Mortal Kombat 11, containing new story content, new characters, and new skins. It's also an incredible bargain... if you've never bought Mortal Kombat 11 before now.
A bundle of the full game (with past DLC) and Aftermath is available for $60. If you already have the game, the expansion on its own costs $40. Some fans feel like this is a bit of a swizz considering how much they spent on it already.
Unfortunately, this is a lesson the industry's taught customers for years, and nobody wants to learn it. Aftermath is, by all accounts, another way of doing the typical "Game of the Year" edition, and GOTY Editions have always represented this kind of diminishing value for early adopters.
At the very least, people who care about their money should sleep on Warner Bros. published games for at least a year.
