The New World December patch for the Winter Convergence event was delayed without any explanation. After having a look on the PTR and testing armor values with XR, we have a pretty good idea of why that may have happened.

Armor rating in New World and its relationship with gear score has been causing a bunch of problems since the beginning. The upcoming patch was meant to fix that, but may actually end up causing new issues in the process. The mitigation values aren't nearly adding up to what would seem logical, especially on light and medium armor.
