Meet the air-to-ground AGM-158 JASSM missile from Lockheed Martin. This stealthy standoff air-launched cruise missile has low detection and is known as the "terrorist killer" due to its ability to destroy bunkers. It was put into use by the US Air Force in 2009, and as of 2016, Lockheed Martin had delivered 2,000 JASSM in total. In order to keep pilots safe from challenging air defense systems, the missile is built to attack high-value, heavily fortified targets from a distance of up to 230 miles. The cutting-edge anti-jamming precision guidance system, and a stealthy airframe make up the 2,000-pound weapon. During the missile strikes against Syria on April 14, 2018, the JASSM was first successfully deployed. As part of airstrikes against three Syrian government installations, two B-1 Lancer bombers fired a total of 19 JASSM. The Chemical Research Center was hit by all 19 missiles, and it was totally annihilated. Two missiles that didn't explode were discovered by the Syrian Arab Army and sent to Russia for analysis on April 18; however, there is no proof to support this claim.
