Brain Control was once an incredibly powerful staple spell card in classic ygo, and was even banned for years before it had to receive an errata to come off the ban list. All it did was pay 800 LP to take control of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls until the end phase. Basically it was like Change of Heart, except one that had a LP cost and could only target face-up monsters.
