Wii Metroid Prime: Trilogy G54, 2nd Campaign pt1: Responding to a Galactic Federation assignment.
I dived into the next chapter of the Metroid Prime saga. This time the Galactic Federation contacted me, in regards to a contract. Assignment accepted. Friendly forces in need... Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro: assignment and landing.
Contacted with Galactic Federation Marines has been lost in what has been described as a rogue planet. It quickly became apparent that things where not normal. Some type of strange storm was engulfing the entire world, known as Aether. it was enough to damage my ship when I went in. Most likely, the Marines' ship experienced the same. But what brought them here in the first place?
(2:32) Scanning surroundings.
This landing site proved to have some sort of strange alien ruins. Somehow, they'll come into play later. But first, on with finding the missing Marines.
(11:15) Entering Federation Outpost.
The Marines' have established a base of operations here. They where here for a purpose. I'm guessing, securing the alien ruins, for an inbound science team. But something happened...
(17:55) Map upload an Outpost scan.
Base logs described the outpost falling under attack by "hostile forces." It seems the presence of the Marines upset the local wildlife, causing all hell to break lose.
(22:41) Marines and hostiles found.
Dead Marines' scans revealed all died in different ways. But all brutally.
(27:52) Command Chamber: Marines' logs.
Details on how the Marines stood their ground when the local creatures went after them. They where overwhelmed. And their ship most likely was damaged by the storm like mine was. So they couldn't escape either.
(35:45) Gate system online and the dead rises.
So the Marines that where infected by the creatures coming fr the hive, rose up like Zombies? That didn't make much sense. When they did so, there was this purple glow of some kind. Not sure what's happening here.
(40:56) Assessing next room: more zombies!
(43:25) Hive Chamber A: Metroid Prime found?
I'm trying to determine what happened back on Talon IV, it seems Metroid Prime's Brain took something from me. Upon closer examination, it was the Phazon Suit. And with that, it gave itself a body.
The Marines' where on it's tail. It must have summoned the local wildlife with it's powers to push the Marines back.
It is capable of moving around via portals. Following it through one, revealed it was still the power to produce Phazon. And can not just corrupt life forms, but also turn the dead I to Zombies? All that to build itself an army. Those looked like corrupt Splinters who tried to get me, before I narrowly escape by firing my Grapple Beam into the portal.
(48:37) Equipment lost and Save Station.
