Wii Metroid Prime: Trilogy G78, 2nd Campaign pt19: Dark Grenchlers deadlier than Grapple Guardian?
Actually no. It wasn't the Morph Ball Cannon that I missed. But the platform, extended by activating a laser, what I really missed. However, the huge backtracking yielded numerous Missile Expansions, 2 Beam Expansions and the Darkburst. So I'm significantly more well armed, had I previously proceeded normally. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
A Missile Expansion and two areas of interest have opened thanks to the Gravity Boost. I started with the former.
(5:25) Grenchler at Forgotten Bridge.
(8:11) Missile Expansion at Torvus Lagoon.
(15:29) Safe Station at Hydrodynamo Station.
(22:07) Surprise Grenchler attack at Catacombs.
Two more Grenchlers appeared in this area for the first time. Had to deal with them before going to the Morph Bomb Slot. The slot lowered the gate blocking access to the Portal.
(27:45) Dark Grenchlers at Dungeon!
Significantly more dangerous than their Light Aether counterparts. This fight was pretty gruesome.
(38:02) Undertransit Two.
(46:11) Monster sounds at Sacrificial Chamber.
(52:16) Shield down at Crypt and Crypt Tunnel.
The crystal I needed to find was inside the the shield all along. Why didn't I thought of that?
(57:45) Undertemple Shaft.
I have to learn to to freak out whenever I see a Grapple or Spider Track. Because that doesn't necessarily mean the way forward is totally blocked.
(1:04:29) Samus Aran vs Grapple Guardian.
I wasn't expecting a Grapple Guardian. Because I didn't thought a creature would use it to drag victims to it's mouth.
But unlike other boss fights, there was reliable cover on this one. That meant the fight dragged on for quite a while, since landing shots in it's vulnerable area proved difficult. A change to what boss fights normally go down.
(1:31:59) Grapple Guardian injured.
(1:34:16) Grapple Guardian defeated, Grapple Beam acquired and Safe Station.
The acquisition of the Grapple Hook is one of the three big ones. With the Spider Ball and Power Bomb being the other two. The Annihilation Beam I'm expecting to come last. But what about the Visors? Whatever happened to that?
