In the video I used the base address of a pointer in pointer I found for Mario Kart 8 version 1.0 and ported it automatically to version 4.1 by using a memory dump from version 1.0 and one from version 4.1. As you can see, it's worth it to keep memory dump around when you make RAM hacks. :P
