Carbine Studios, the developer of WildStar, announced that the MMORPG will go free-to-play this Fall. WildStar is going for a hybride free-to-play model. This means that players will be able to access all the content for free, but also have the option to pay a monthly fee for some extras.
When you sign up for this so called signature membership you get extra inventory and bank space, costumes, XP, reputation boosts and more. Of course there will also be a cashshop, like every other free-to-play game. Expect cosmetic and convenience items like mounts, mini pets, costumes, houseing items and boosts for XP, reputation and more.
If you dont have money, you can still get the items from the WildStar cashshop by collecting omnibits. How you get them and how fast you collect them is still on the table; Carbine will be testing the free-to-play model for WildStar in the beta version.
