126Will future abilities in doom eternal work as runes? With the dlc for doom eternal coming out soon, hopefully anyways still no concrete information on a release date as of yet. But with the 1st dlc for doom eternal it is confirmed that we are going to be getting a brand new ability. Some have wanted a ground slam attack, wall running, a "gaseous" element fired from the equipment launcher that staggers and damages all enemies in the gas, referred to as "argent wave". And all these abilities sound amazing and would definitely compliment the amazing gameplay of doom eternal how would it work?
On console doom eternal only has one more available button and as is the gameplay loop for doom eternal is a bit much for some to always manage correctly. In this video I propose idsoftware incorporate the new ability as a rune instead of a button prompt for 1 of 2 reasons. It doesnt give players another button to remember and juggle in the combat loop. 2nd as a rune if they do add more than 1 new ability further down the line it would add more customization and replayability for swapping each one of em out.
