William Shatner's Tekwar (TekwarGDX) - 04 Conrad Lowell - Uncommented UHD 4K
7William Shatner's Tekwar is the first game released using the Build Engine we know (well, Witchaven released the very same day, also by Capstone (WTF?!)). It is a sci-fi shooter based on the TV series of the same name.
So finally, thanks to the launch of TekwarGDX 0.750 by m210, I've finally had the guts to face this game. With proper controls I "barely" could tackle it, because... jesus christ, this game is a mess. Not only the sound design is atrocious and the gameplay is just random, but you REALLY need a guide to finish each mission. How on Earth would I know that I have to find two keys at random different maps (or dropped by a particular mob), and then go to a third level (the maps aren't small) and find the secret hideout for each villain?! This is nuts! Many thanks to kurtis2221 's YouTube channel for the walkthroughs, I've would never been able to complete this one.
On the bright side: This game featured digitized actors and textures, a functional hub system, and it did a decent job trying to portray a convincing urban environment (pedestrians included).

William Shatner's Tekwar es el primer juego lanzadon con el motor Build que conocemos (bueno, junto a Witchaven, que fue lanzado el mismo día también por Capstone (WTF?!)). Es un shooter de ciencia ficción basado en la serie de TV del mismo nombre.
Entonces, gracias al lanzamiento de TekwarGDX 0.750 por parte de m210, the tenido las pelotas de enfrentarme a este juego. Con los controles mejorados "apenas" he podido encararlo, porque... dios mío, este juego es un desastre. No solo el diseño de sonido es atroz y el gameplay aleatorio de todo, pero es que además NECESITAS DE VERDAD una guía para poder terminar cada misión. ¡¿Cómo en este planeta iba a saber yo que tengo que encontrar dos llaves en dos mapas aleatorios distintos (también pueden soltarlas un enemigo concreto), y luego ir a un tercer mapa (que no son pequeños precisamente) y encontrar el escondite secreto del villano?! ¡Es una locura! Muchas gracias al canal de Youtube de kurtis2221 por los walkthrough, yo nunca hubiese sido capaz de terminar este juego.
En el lado bueno de las cosas: Este juego usaba texturas y actores digitalizados, un sistema funcional de hubs, y la verdad hacía un buen trabajo intentando representar ambientes urbanos (peatones incluídos).
