This is how to fix having a blank browser window after upgrading to IE9
This only is a correction for a specific issue and may not resolve problems you are having that are not upgrade related.

(1) Select Options Gear on the top right
(2) Select Internet Options and go to the Advanced Tab
(3) Check the box marked "Use Software Rendering"
(4) Completely close, then re-open your browser

^^^ Closing and re-opening the browser is NOT OPTIONAL.
