Windows XP Tour (Beta Version 2) Walkthrough
114A walkthrough for another beta version of the Windows XP tour software. I discovered it in Windows Whistler Build 2481 (one of the beta versions of Windows XP) back in 2013, which was made in late Spring 2001. The reason I've been quite hesitant to upload a walkthrough video of it to YouTube is because, well... this version is practically identical to the final version of this software. However, there are a few differences, such as a few remaining beta voice clips from the one found in Windows Whistler builds 2474 and 2475 and a few images in the tour clips exclusive to this version, as well as non-edited versions, so I decided that I should record and upload this video for archival and preservation purposes after all.
Once again, due to installation issues with Windows Whistler Build 2481 in VirtualBox, I was only able to run this version of this tour in a virtual machine for the final version of Windows XP Professional in VirtualBox. Let me see if I can list the differences here:
*During the introduction and when "Windows XP Basics" is selected, the narrator will say "Start here" as its features load, and says the same description dialogue for the same section in the opening as when "Windows XP Basics" is selected.
*There are a few new images in some of the tour clips, plus the letter in WordPad in the "Windows XP Basics" section is not censored by a blur effect, meaning that we get to read it to see what it actually looked like.
*The images in the tour clips for some reason play at a faster speed than usual. As a result, in the "Windows XP Basics" section, several voice clips get cut off.
*There are a few glitches that occur in this version.
*A few images aren't aligned correctly.
