WISDOM BITS - Can one substitute people with pets? Try as you might, ignorance = you simply can't
0Many people fake it that they're happier without a human in their life. Being wounded by others in life should not be a reason to stand down and become idle socially, because the repercussions are real. Madness is right around the corner, waiting, you don't have to invite it in. When people say they live better with pets, it is because they are (any of the below):
1. not mature enough to undertake a real emotional relationship, therefore suffering will always be their guide;
2. feeling unworthy of other people's attention / the opposite gender's attention;
3. they don't want to take real responsibility towards a more complex life form, prefering to live it small.
Your life is your universe and it's short. Whether you want to make a psychiatry of it, a theater, a circus or a temple: choice is all yours. I'd rather be peaceful, because a lot of the people nowadays are ill because they don't know how to be still for at least a bit each day. Meanwhile, machines and many other things in your life have a side effect of hindering this ability. No patience in this world always makes you be one foot in your grave.
