This is a total conversion of the unforgettable classic Wolfenstein 3D using the Doom engine. This is a mod for ZDoom. If you don't have Zdoom download it at http://zdoom.org/Download.

Go to http://www.afadoomer.com/wolf3d/about.html to get the Wolfenstein 3D game mod. This site has short simple instructions on how to install this mod.

I came upon this one day after watching a video of Wolfenstein 3D for the PS3. I was shocked about how slow and sloppy the port was on the PS3 and 360 which should have been able to do a perfect port without even using 1/8 of a percent of their processing power. I then thought that there should be a total conversion for Wolfenstein 3D just like there is for Doom. To my delight I found out there was.

Thanks to a U-tuber called tombstone118 for having a video with the link to the site to get the total conversion.

This conversion takes absolutely nothing away from the original. As you can see it still has the same blocky sprites and the DOS music. My computer is an older single core AMD so recording with Cam Studio stole alot of framerate. However the video is still pretty smooth. Without recording the game is smooth as silk and blazing fast. Also there is an option in the .ini file to add the head bobbing as seen in Doom. The games graphics are totally untouched, but you can boost the resolution to get rid of just about all the jaggies. I normally run this game at 1800X1440 so this classic has never looked better or cleaner. The sounds are also sampled at a much higher frequency so music and sounds are crisp and clean. I should also mention that you can run this TC in GZDoom. In GZDoom the secret passage ways push back instead of lift up to the ceiling as seen in this video. The creator was not able to get the secrets to open like they did in the original unless if he used OpenGL. It's a very minor thing though in ZDoom and does not ruin the game whatsoever.

You will see my mouse pointer from time to time. This does not appear during gameplay at all. I was not aware that I had to tell Cam Studio to ignore the pointer even though you can't see it during gameplay.

You owe it to yourself to get this for your PC FREE instead of being a chump and buying a sloppy port for 5 bucks on XBLA or PSN.
