This video was captured from the actual game on an actual Nintendo 64.

Many have tried to just come close to this game and have not succeeded. Not even Wave Race on the Gamecube managed to fully overshadow the N64 original. To be fair there hasn't been many racing games of this type since Wave Race 64. It was the first of it's kind and so incredibly unique because of one thing, the water. Even now when I play it the water is still 100% convincing. The physics on how your craft reacts to the water is also 100% convincing. The graphics still make my jaw drop in awe. The gameplay is simply unmatched when compared to games like Splashdown. The music is a stroke of genius as you'll be humming these tunes well after you have played this game. The sound effects are perfect. Many times when people reminisce about the N64 they refer to titles like Mario 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Wave Race 64 is such a stellar game, it deserves to be in everyone's memory and collection. You can pick it up for 5 bucks or less, and it's highly available. It was not underrated by any means in it's day. This would explain why there are so many copies available, but I think many moved on to..............I don't know what because there is no game like this one. So if you don't have or never have played this game, get it now or even buy it on the Virtual Console.

Amazingly I managed to still take 1st overall even after screwing up so badly. Oh well. Who likes to see some punk record a perfect run. I think that's boring. I'm not here to impress you with my gaming skills. I just wanna have fun and show honest gameplay.
