World of Tanks Gameplay
3World of Tanks has been growing in popularity lately and has shown up on a lot of people's "fave" or "new addiction" type lists. It is a free to play, tank based game. After hearing about it for awhile, I decided to try it out.
At first, WoT is tough. You think you won't like it because you keep managing to get your ass kicked every fight, usually lose and typically get knocked out from a WTF SHOT WAS THAT?! After you stick with it and hit your stride with a likeable tank and get some experience, a good degree of addiction kicks in.
The games choices go a long way to make the game appealing. I like fast tanks with good maneuverability and waffle back and forth from liking a strong cannon to the more rapid fire types. In this video, I buy my first tank destroyer and play around with it. My record is so-so but my German light tank has done the best. You'll notice the tank from the sticky bombs scene in Saving Private Ryan as I scroll through the German tanks.
Having 5.1 or higher surround sound is great for this game as you will really feel like you are there with rounds whizzing by you and explosions going off behind you.
