As promised during the Eden videos, here is Forsaken World. It is a F2P MMORPG currently on the Steam platform. You can find more info on it here - http://store.steampowered.com/app/36620/?snr=1_5_9__205

The publisher and developer of Forsaken World is Perfect World Bejing. Direct FW info can be found at - http://fw.perfectworld.com/ This developer also produces Torchlight and other games you might be familiar with.

The game is what you'd expect from heavily Asian inspired MMORPGs. As you can see in the creation vids, the characters are VERY stylized and at times, look like the cover of romance novels (watch the male Elf randomizations). The male and female Dwarves are shockingly different with the males being typical and females looking like cute little dolls. The game has a unique class in the Vampire which is only available to Kindreds. After the character customization, you'll see me play my existing Vampire and do some questing. More gameplay will follow in the next video. You can see a lot of the Asian inspirations with the big, anime eyes and the Goku/Akuma haircuts.

So far the game is fun with the first 1-15 levels going fairly quickly. You'll get used to the game quick if you play MMOs and it features the auto quest routing I also encountered in Eden. It's a handy feature as you feel like you're being chauffeured from point to point. Just click to route and fiddle with your bags as you run or, in the case of those very feminine elves, do your nails.

Listen closely to the marskmen parts. It's the same gun sounds from WoW. Also some of the other melee sounds remind me of Darkspore. No graphics seem recycled but some sounds do. I haven't toyed with the cash shop nor do I plan to. I did a little cash shop in LOTRO for fun.
