Friends, this video is a seven-part thank you to my followers on LinkedIn, everybody at Blizzard, and in particular, those who worked on World of Warcraft in any capacity
My fast facts as it relates to WoW are:
*14,000+ hours played, or 4% of my time alive on earth
*Over 40 characters raised to max level
*Raiding with a top 50 US guild
*Attaining Field Marshall in PvP (second highest rank)
*Playing since Vanilla
*Played on PvE, PvP, and RP servers
*Played every expansion, although I took a few breaks between them and have played much less since 9 years ago when I got married, and even less than that once we had kids
*Have touched every imaginable piece of content, every game feature, every story line, every location that exists in Azeroth
*Alliance only; Horde is terrible and always will be
I made tens of friends in WoW and don't regret for a second the time I spent in it. Quite the contrary: it is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. At a time when I was quite lonely in New York, and before I met my wife, WoW was the perfect outlet for a challenge, for friendship, for my soul, and for my love of games, Blizzard, and Warcraft. I even got to play with two of my best friends in real-life, one of whom has been my best friend since we were 12. As we lived far apart, it kept our friendship burning brightly and I will always be grateful to WoW for that
Most people I knew in-game stayed engaged for at least an entire decade from 2005-2015 (many whole hog to 2022) and on any night 100+ people would be there in the Ventrilo chat to say hi and sincerely wish you well. On big nights it could easily be 150-200 people. There were doctors, professors, contractors, painters, students, plumbers, gym trainers, accountants, and more
I owe a lot of gratitude for WoW and will hold on to my special memories within it forever
To express this gratitude, I created the largest content blitz I have ever done, a seven-part, 86 minutes series on the game entitled...
