Hi everyone,

I figured since there are a few fun videos out there of people showing say, graphics improvements and comparisons when playing World of Warcraft or how fast it may load on a spiffy new SSD, I decided to do things a little differently....

While my main system plays on ultra settings fine, I wanted to pick what is possibly the slowest and most ancient system in the house; yet one that can still play WoW and maybe just maybe, go for SLOWEST loading time! Specs:

Dell Inspiron E1505
Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 (downclocked to 990mhz from 1.7Ghz to quite literally, prevent overheating).
ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 (64MB shared memory)
RAM: 1GB of 533mhz SODIMMs (2x 512 MB)
HDD: 2.5" 80GB Fujitsu 5,400 RPM (fully defragged)
Windows 7 trial (second disc is legit, just not activated yet and using the laptop for testing purposes)
WoW run at 1280x960, all low settings of course.

This system is still above the Classic minimum requirements for playing WoW by the way.

If you'd rather not watch times:

Executing Patcher = 12 seconds
Patcher to Login Screen = 24 seconds
Login to Character / Realm Selection = 9 seconds
Login from Character Selection to appearing in game = 1 minute, 19 seconds
Caching / post-buffering = 25 seconds
Logout to Desktop = 20 seconds

WOW, hahaha.

What is scarier is that with a simple swap to one of my Intel SSDs, this molases laptop becomes quite playable. Might compare later, IDK.
