Feral Druid WPvP in Battle for Azeroth. There is no escape... but sometimes they escape... and sometimes Vaeyn escapes.

Vaeyn's Improvement Goals

Aim is to achieve the ability goals on the list below and dial in my muscle memory within a few vids, and then after will focus more on learning opponent class/spec counter tactics. You might disagree, or it might not come across in the clips used in this vid, but I feel a gradual skills improvement. I've still got a lot to learn though, plenty mistakes in this vid I'm sure. Feedback is very welcome, in fact yes please point out mistakes.

- Opponent: Understand opponent specs and their abilities better. Pay attention to Easy Mode warnings such as Mage's Temporal Shield.
Progress: TBH, still working on visually identifying certain specs, getting better. Currently focusing on the ultra basics of not attacking when shields are up. Sounds simple, not for me... noob! I went to the trouble of installing warning addons, and I still ignore them sometimes lol! Will focus more on learning opponent class/spec counter tactics after the basics.

- Patience: Learn patience and remember training. Watch energy level, don't Ferocious Bite below 50 energy.
Progress: I'm still having a hard time watching my energy level. Trying. It might be occurring to me more. On energy usage - due to a bit of undiagnosed RSI, I had to stop using my mouse's two thumb buttons for my main attack macros! I could play less... nah :) Instead, I am trying out my mouse's thumb wheel for main attacks. The thumb wheel is good, feels smooth. It's slightly slower to use, but it deters mashing and still delivers the attack quickly. It might actually improve energy usage slightly. Later clips in this vid have the thumb change.

- Position: Improve positioning. Hit and run melee opponents to bleed them out.
Progress: I am doing a bit more hit and run, but sometimes can't seem to stop myself just trying to finish em. It's partly both a lack of and over confidence at different times, partly impatience, partly not enough opponent class/spec knowledge... I just described a noob!

- Stealth: Use stealth and re-stealth more tactically.
Progress: I'm using it more often during combat, but not doing enough strategic stealthing.

- Regrowth: Remember to self heal during combat when instant cast is available, and in general heal when there's opportunity.
Progress: Trying. I still often forget, until I notice my health is too low... too late! Need to be more consistent.

- Survival Instincts: Stop using SI when not taking damage. Save SI for optimum moment... need to know opponent specs better.
Progress: I'm doing less accidental SI triggers, but they still happen... stop! Sometimes I anticipate damage that doesn't come. Also, in this vid, SI is triggered via a modifier in my healing macro. It's a bit too easy to accidentally trigger it... in the next vid, SI will be on a dedicated bind instead. More muscle memory retraining.

- Thorns: Use at the right time only on melee opponents.
Progress: For some clips in this vid and in future vids, Thorns should trigger less at the wrong time. Because now it's on a dedicated bind, instead of a modifier bind in my main attack macro. Hopefully less misfires going forward... but still have to do at right time!

- Skull Bash: Don't use it for closing distance, save for interrupts and get Tiger's Fury refresh.
Progress: I'm using it more often for interrupts and get the refresh benefit. Occasionally I still panic/forget and use it for anti-kiting, stop it!

- Dash: Save speed boosts for combat.
Progress: Trying, and I do find I have speed more often when I actually need it. Sometimes I don't think to use it tactically though. But, I occasionally still use it for lazy speed increase when not needed, stop it!

- Entangling Roots: Use more tactically.
Progress: In some clips in this vid, it's occurring to me to save Roots until more useful. But I still need to use Roots more strategically.

- Tactics: Improve on all the above, doing the right stuff at the right time, depending on the opponent.
Progress: Ability tactics are improving gradually, but my opponent class/spec knowledge is still limited. After the basics are dialed in, will focus on learning opponent class/spec strats.
