I personally think option A makes the most sense, a 28% price run from the covering of 2.5m FTDs would mean a 1200% price run in AMC stock if all 90m shorts are covered, taking the AMC stock to around $600.
However, maybe only a few were covered, in which case we'd see a much larger gain than 1200% if all 90m shorts are covered, maybe 10,000% or higher.
Or, maybe none of them were covered, a publication on the SEC website delve more in depth in to buy-writes that can be used to 'reset the clock'
