I play through the prologue and part of Boston in The Last Of Us: Part I. This game is amazing! The PlayStation 5 remake enhances a lot of what made the original so great! I love the HBO show so far too!

◇ STORY ◇
In a quiet neighborhood in Austin, Texas, Joel returns home from a hard day’s work to find his teenage daughter, Sarah, still awake. She gifts him a watch for his birthday, an occasion that was more than likely swept under the rug of the busyness and grind of life as a single parent. But this special moment between father and daughter proves to be the calm before the storm….
Ring. The somber silence is broken with sharp tacks scraped along her ear drums. Sarah lifts her head and reaches for the phone on her nightstand. Who would be calling this late?
“Hello?”
“Sarah, I need you to get your daddy on the phone.”
“Uncle Tommy? What time is it?”
He starts to say something back to her more urgently, but his voice is cut off by the tones of disconnection. A stark reflection of her own isolation.
Her father is nowhere to be found. His TV is still on as Sarah walks into his bedroom. The news is broadcasting a report from a place nearby. It’s…on fire. Burning. Why? Before she can even think of an explanation, BOOM! The building erupts.
Sarah’s nerves grow numb, her fingers tingling with the sensation of worms. She can hardly even feel the shivering, the cold. It’s a frozen memory, a haunting thought now hanging from her mind like an icicle. What once was water, free flowing and nimble, is now ever still and stiff. Police sirens. The red and blue lights flash in the windows along the living room walls. A dog is barking nearby. It yelps. Silence.
Her father enters through the back door. He’s different somehow. Nearly out of breath, he stumbles through his own thoughts. BANG! A screaming like she’s never heard. Jimmy Cooper is at the door, like he had been many times before. Only now, he is also different somehow. He tries to charge Sarah and Joel, but Joel fires one round from his pistol into the once beloved neighbor. Headlights cast shadows upon their faces, masking the fear and disgust in their eyes. They killed their neighbor. But what choice did they have? Why did he attack them?
There are no answers.
Through burning buildings and crowds of people running to the edge of the world, a solider comes to save the day. Or so Sarah and Joel were led to believe. But this is not a soldier. Not the brave men and women who defend freedom and justice and honor, in distant and domestic conflicts of good vs evil. No. These are no good men, and Sarah and Joel are no force of evil. Yet they draw the bullets out of the soldier’s gun as if they were magnets. As if it was inevitable; an act of nature, a play of physics. Though Uncle Tommy comes to the rescue, Sarah is lost. Her candlelight made smoke and vapor into the dark night to shine no more.

◇ SHOW NOTES ◇
- I noticed audio pops throughout the video. I'm still sort of new to recording with OBS, so I'm not sure what I did wrong. I apologize. If it's too unbearable, I would be happy to rerecord this part.
- I keep looking over to my left because I'm watching my recording monitor to make sure things are still doing okay!
- I realized that I had my Rodecaster Pro as the monitoring device in OBS, so even though I recorded two separate tracks so I could edit and mix them separately to balance their volume and EQ, the game audio still comes through on the track that was meant just for my mic. This may be the reason for the audio popping, I'm not sure.
