[WR] Cybernator Any% Speedrun in 16:48
53Post commentary to come on this run in the future some time.
Thoughts on the run:
- Lost only a little more than half a second in Orbital Hideout despite the sloppy execution.
- Arc Nova was fantastic aside from the text mashing in the last part.
- I could still yet save fractions of a second in Atmosphere Entry by dashing left after defeating Beldark.
- Not sure where my time save is exactly in Twilight Pursuit but it is apparently there.
- I imagine whiffing napalm on the first snow bunny costed me a second in Gunfire Mountains and rest of it came from missing one clean landing and eating 3(?) mines I think?
- Beautiful Last Stand, but still very likely to have more time to come down yet.
Overall, I'm very happy with this run. At the end of it I say that I'm done with this category but I'm very likely to come back to this one and push it to the absolute limit at some point but probably not for a while. At the moment I would say 16:45.XX would be the dream but that comes down to Last Stand and how much further I could push that particular split.
