[WR] Geometry Dash Time Gauntlet in 6:39.24
4hadn't done a run in a few months so i thought this would be a good category to come back to
as might be apparent from the commentary, this was my first attempt to timeless so i was assuming i would choke. did not happen somehow (i usually do choke)
i guess i should explain the run a bit as well lol.
started with half past twelve because it has a skip within the first few parts in the level. it's a little inconsistent but i was able to get it a good amount of times in practice. just getting a skip out of the way early is helpful
then timeless which has another pretty inconsistent skip with a double click. i was struggling to get this in practice easily but i just figured i could just go for it in actual attempts and i'd probably get it on some run. my intuition was correct as i got it on my first ever attempt in timeless in a real run.
then rose, mind control, and silence are all completed as normal. mind control has a funny little cheese strat where you can spam through the entire planet cube section. i utilized that so i didn't have to worry about timing the jumps and the jank-ass cube movement.
the levels here are also not too hard but i was nervous because i always get nervous with shit like this especially since it was my first time speedrunning and being on a good run in a while.
overall the run fits my goals as i got both the skips i wanted but the menuing was kinda subpar throughout. oh well it's never really been my specialty
thinking i'll go for more in the future, potentially something harder
