In my last world record (8:32) I said that getting a 8:2x would be really hard and that 8:30 would be the last 10-second barrier broken unless new strats were found. Well I was dead wrong about it being hard. I have been finding a bunch of new strats over the past couple weeks that shave time off in a lot of the different levels. In this run I pretty much hit them all perfectly and was able to beat my old record by almost 10 full seconds in one fell swoop.

Here's a list of the new strats I used and how much time they saved in this run over the old world record:
Robot Springboard out of bounds strat saved ~0.5 seconds
River Crossing reroute saved ~3 seconds
Canyon reroute saved ~1 second
Raised Platform out of bounds strat saved ~1 second
Switch Maze ending reroute saved ~3 seconds

Sub 8:20 is definitely possible, as I lost a total of 4 seconds to sloppy execution on Spiral, Loop Around, and Robot Raiser and lost another second to a slow setup on Radioactive.
