[WR/PB] F.E.A.R. - Softlock% Speedrun in 28.43
6A meme run that I thought of doing purely because we (me and Draiga) are currently working on setting up a Category Extensions page for all of the F.E.A.R. games on speedrun.com. Although it's not an original idea, I can now self-declare as being the first person to bring this category for this game to life by doing a showcase run of it.
The idea is simple: Find the fastest way to soft lock yourself after starting a New Game, while also being allowed to use any glitches necessary to achieve the soft lock itself.
As for the run itself? It obviously isn't perfect, but it's more of a demonstrational video to show you guys the fastest way to soft lock in F.E.A.R. after starting a new game. I think a low 27 / high 26 seconds run is possible with this route. Couldn't find a much faster way to soft locking than this soft lock... yet.
The timer starts as soon as the last cutscene before the car ride is skipped and ends upon getting to the soft lock area (in this instance, the edge you see me fall to, where the timer basically ends upon falling to it). Furthermore, I retimed this run to a 28.43 for accuracy reasons, so don't be misled by the timer you see at the end which is 29.80.
