Initially introduced as an avant-garde animated series, Aeon Flux was one of MTV’s Liquid Television’s best-executed shows. It aired on MTV from 1991 to 1995, and had a total of three seasons created by none other than American animator Peter Chung. The series went on to become a cult classic in the sci-fi and biopunk genre, and soon inspired a live-action film starring Charlize Theron in the titular role. Unfortunately, the film was regarded as a huge failure, and today we will be exploring the franchise in great detail and tell you all about this cult classic that eventually became a misfire!
