0I used longsword for this one. Best strat for me, was getting behind him, and use charged heavy, so you can stagger him.
Use the whistle as soon as you enter, for the NPC to come and help.
He has very delayed attacks, and can be hard to get perfect dogdes.
And upgrade your potions to 4 charges and the potency of them also.
