Wut is going on here?
0I had an interesting experience some time ago. One of my audio cables broke (the return line was somehow broken), so the left and right speaker worked, but I had some cut out audio (like how playing stereo music on surround sound then cutting the front speakers.) but it also had a noticeable hum. After much experimentation, I was able to recreate the hum easiest to record by plugging in a PSU to the wall and resting it on top of the PC. (The PSU was not plugged into the computer in anyway. I unplugged everything attached to the computer except the stereo cable. The computer was not even powered on.)
I am still not sure to this day why this happened, but after replacing the cable that goes out to my stereo, I have not had this problem at all. Anyone have an idea as to what is happening here?
