As NXt kicks off, Auska has a match with Bayley. In order for Bayley to get a shot at the NXT Woman's Championship at NXT Takeover Chicago. After a hard fought battle, Bayley successfully defeats Auska. Next match on the card sees Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson take on Blake and Murphy , in a two on two tag team elimination match. If Blake and Murphy win, they will receive a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT Takeover Chicago. Unfortunately Blake and Murphy couldn't defeat the Tag Team Champions, so othe plans will have to be made. In the NXT main event, the current NXT champion Samoa Joe takes on Shinsuke Nakamoura in a falls count anywhere match. The match goes from the ring, to the locker-room, than straight to the G.M's office. Samoa Joe finishes off Shinsuke Nakamoura with a powerbomb on the G.M's desk to collect a pinfall victory.
