As we kick off the first Raw of universe mode, I start a somewhat of a tournament to crown the first ever WWE Universal Champion. In round one Sami Zayn defeats Kevin Owens to advance into the tournament. The second match of the night sees Enzo and Big Cass taking on the New Day in a tag team elimination match. Unfortunately the New Day pick up the win meaning Enzo and Big Cass do not get a title shot at Extreme Rules. In round two of the Universal Championship tournament, Finn Balor takes on Braun Strowman. Strowman is too big and sturdy for Balor to even knock down, Finn Balor fights with everything he has, but is forced to tap out to Strowman's bear hug. A triple threat match to decide a future number one contender for the WWE Women's Championship at Extreme Rules, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, and Paige are all looking to steal the title from Charlotte at Extreme Rules. Nia Jax picks up the victory, and will be put in the championship match at Extreme Rules. The main event of Raw is the last qualification match of the Universal Championship tournament, where Roman Reigns takes on Seth Rollins. As the match rolls on longer than it should have, Seth Rollins pins Roman Reigns to win the match. After the match Seth Rollins continues the attack by hitting Roman Reigns with a Pedigree on the floor causing Roman Reigns to suffer a minor injury.
