Let me tell you a story of a time long ago... of the premiere of a television show... called X-Play.
On this, the first episode of X-Play, Adam Sessler discovers an actual studio set and meets up with The Screensavers' Morgan Webb. Together, they review Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus (Xbox), Rainbow Six 3: Ravenshield (PC) and MLB Slugfest 20-04 (PS2). Adam also receives real-life training on how to effectively kill people and delivers us some commentary about bad players in Battlefield 1942 (PC).

NOTE: This episode was converted from VHS. I'm pretty sure the lighting for the series as a whole was not yet quite figured out for this episode. This recording also comes from the TechTV Video on Demand airing, which itself tended to be darker than standard airings. The contrast for the episode is a little out of whack and not really up to the quality of other VHS uploads I've included.
Also, I've always wondered if this episode was somewhere between a proof-of-concept for the new series, a test pilot that became the first episode and an actual first episode of the ongoing series. Keen-eyed viewers will notice the camera to the left at 6:39 and everyone working and walking around behind the scenes in the background at 11:52.
