X-Wing intro with Waveblaster + Soundblaster 16
Intro of the PC game X-Wing. Recorded from a real retro PC using Soundblaster 16 for digital and Creative Waveblaster for MIDI playback.
X-Wing is a space combat simulator within the Star Wars Universe. The game was released in 1993 for PC and requires a 8086, though a 386 is recommended.
For this video I used a 386DX-40 system with a TSENG ET4000.
Note the clicks that appear when the SB16 plays samples. The Waveblaster is the first wavetable daughterboard for the waveblaster connector and features 4 MB sample ROM and Proteus Soundengine as Synthesizer.
