Travel and exploration in Rust (like most things in Rust) present both risk and reward. You may stumble upon what appears to be a promising location, even if that location may not be currently accessible. You may encounter others who are willing to trade or lend a helping hand. Or you may simply find an untouched cache of much needed resources. At the same time, those promising locations are promising to others, as well, and hostiles may have already claimed the area. Also, while others may be helpful, they might also be deadlier than the predatory animals that roam the wilderness. And while the occasional cache of resources may readily present itself, there's always the chance you'll find very little, or nothing at all.

Each step forward presents these potential risks and these potential rewards and more. One should seek one's goals, surely, but it is prudent to remember that others are seeking theirs, as well.
