XB1 Battleborn G4 1/2, 2P private splitscreen Co-op, Ep1: The Algorithm, H3NCHM4Ns & GEOFF bosses!
1Hello YouTube! SSGL here with our first ever campaign/storyline vid facing the H3NCHM4Ns at 19:19 and GEOFF at 42:00. We play as Oscar Mikes.
It is also our most lengthy vid yet. We did took it nice and slow, given it was our first time playing the story. So below is a snapshot of the events of the first mission of Battleborn.
19:19: After battling thru hordes of minions to include snipers, swordsmen and kamikaze drones, we confront two H3NCHM4N minibosses. They launch what appears to be bouncing, exploding balls. But it did took me a bit to realize the explosions they produce also slows down one's character.
42:00: But turns out those minibosses where just a warm-up. We then face GEOFF, a huge spider-like sentry bot packing missile launchers, web traps and the ability to spawn "spider babies"... and lots of them when it gets pissed off lol!
The mission here is to locate and capture ISIC. Apparently, he was a bad guy before joining the Battleborn, like Deande in the intro mission.
Those sniper minions appeared right off the bat when we started. They hit hard, but their rifles emit a targeting beam, revealing their position and allowing one to take evasives. They could become a problem however, if one is pinned down by a sword minion prior.
GEOFF reminded me of the type of bosses one faces in Nintendo's Metroid Prime series, where is never solemnly about just blazing away. In this case, the spider retreats to upgrade itself, becoming invulnerable while doing so. One must pay attention to Kleese's advice if one is to succeed. But he doesn't know everything. There are still some things the player needs to figure out!
This would be the last game in which we play exclusively as Oscar Mikes. The next character I wish to explore is swordsman specialist Rath, unless viewers would like us to try someone else. Thought Oscar Mike's cloaking device was helpful here, especially when it came down to reviving one another. Guess we are going to have to alter some of our so-called strategies if we intend to replace one of the Oscars with another Hero and succeed!
