2ElGato rec. OMG! Our play (3:04) was all over the place and the bots thrashed us as a result! But the option to play versus is still missing! 😟 So we can practice at our own pace!
The issue that we have with Battleborn, ever since we got our hands on it, is the inability for us to play against each other. This is something we are used to thanks to the other games we have that also feature splitscreen plus AI Bot support (Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront) and thus, we where expecting the same here.
That, plus Battleborn's much tougher learning curve, is making it difficult for us on how to approach the game to make vids. Had versus been available, everytime we would choose new Heroes to play with, we would start with just the two of us in a 1v1 with no bot pressure. It would then be a matter of us teaching each other on how to play, particularly, if we decide to go for a 'mirror match' like an Oscar Mike vs Oscar Mike or something.
Once we feel confident enough handling any given Hero, with would then add bots and more bots: 2v2, 3v3... Co-op or versus.
And now that all 25 core Heroes are at our disposal (thanks to the Winter Update) this all becomes even more frustrating. I can only imagine what would an El Dragon vs El Dragon fight would look like! I would really like to see myself as Oscar Mike vs my splitscreen buddy here playing as Whisky Foxtrot! But, can't do that. 😦
Anyways, we haven't played Battleborn in a little while. But, watching this vid myself, it certainly seems I've underestimated the value of the structures... particularly, the Supply Station, which provides healing. I also forgot to use my Ultimate ability.
One can see those bots promptly activating those stations most of the time when they proceed to secure a Collector. Each Collector has one Supply Station, three turrets and an Accelerator or something... at least, that is how the things are setup on the particular map.
