I play with the ARC Trooper for the first time after it was subjected to another set of changes due to the addition of the ISB Agent. Vid timeline:

(0:00) Intro.

(8:45) Match begins.

(18:45) ARC Trooper.

I play as:

First player: Galactic Republic ARC Trooper.
Blaster: Dual D-17.
Abilities: Shock Trap, Helmet Scanner, Toggle Weapon.
Boost Cards: Desperation, Acquisition, Stalker.
Passive Ability: N/A.

The ARC Trooper's third ability, Power Shot, is now the Toggle Weapon. I remember first that the Dual D-17s where automatic before as well. But later as a compromise after player feedback, Toggle Weapon was implemented.

Default wise, the Dual 17s felt like having a slower rate of fire, but where more accurate than the ISB Agent's dual blasters. Activating Toggle Weapon engages rapid fire more with in turn possesses a faster rate of fire, but are more inaccurate.

But that rapid fire still felt good. It was very fun to use. And the normal fire along with Power Shot turned out to be more effective at range than expected. So it made sense when I realized the Shock Trap is once again more of a non-lethal, disruption gadget. Because last time I used it, I remember it's effectiveness against regular Troopers was pretty insane.

And the Helmet Scanner is pretty reliable too. One does not have to worry about having to gather kills to make it more efficient, like with the ISB Agent and Sith Trooper. Although the scanning effect of highlighting enemies is not as clear to the eyes when compared to the BX Commando Droid.

I took the Stalker Boost Card to give the ARC Trooper a means to recover his health during the heat. Like the BX Commando Droid, it's the only such tool he has. And he doesn't have something to boost his base movement. These are sharp different from the ISB Agent and Sith Trooper. So here, the emphasis on firepower to carry out the day is certainly greater. Where I felt that used to the Shock Trap, it is now that rapid fire mode.
