Taking BB-8 here for a battle for the objectives as I suspected his counterpart BB-8E was going to cause great mischief. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro.
(7:00) Match begins.
(15:39) BB-8.
I play as:
First player: BB-8.
Blaster: N/A. Shock Prod.
Abilities: Resistance Backing, Cable Spin, Rolling Charge.
Boost Cards: Whirlwind, Spinner, Self Repairs.
Passive Abilities: Health on Elimination, Technical Support, Swift Reaction.
I'll say a combination of Cable Spin and Technical support is what's going to get me to victory here. There's nothing more satisfying than doing a Cable Spin sweep on an Obj. before kicking Technical support into action. Add to it Whirlwind and Spinner.
Rolling Charge did serve me well here. While Resistance Backing was alright.
With Self Repairs, BB-8 can almost fully recover from the brink, making it a tough cookie to break.
The Shock Prod is certainly not as important to BB-8 than it is to BB-9E, since it doesn't stun in addition to cause damage, making it more risky to use. Don't think I even use it here.
