You can use Xbox 360 wired controllers to play 4 player multi split screen games on Xbox one. This method uses the Xbox on app on a Windows 10 PC. If you look around you can probably find an Xbox 360 with 2 wired controllers for around £20 on Facebook or at a car boot sale. (If your watching this in 2030 you are too late Xbox 360s now cost around £400. : )
